Fall alarm, Man down, Death button, Overvalue alarm, all terms we encounter in the lone workers' security. Unfortunately, the safety of the single worker is still a strongly underestimated problem. The word 'alone' is susceptible to many interpretations. One thinks that single work is not the case if there are more people present on a plant or if you are within a or not in distance from someone else. Unfortunately, the board is completely missed. We believe that individual works are a better term. It's about how fast you miss and whether you take action.
The best example is a forklift driver.
The driver is seen very often by someone. Unfortunately, it does not occur if they not seen anymore. One thinks he/she is working elsewhere! The same goes for most employees. They are seen regularly, but if someone is not seen for 5 minutes, they will not be missed. In most cases, this is not necessary, but how are colleagues informed if something is going on? There are various technical solutions for this. Of course, calls can be made or an alarm button can be pressed. It gets riskier if you're not able to 'alarm' yourself. Here comes the passive alarm around the corner. The Man-down solution can detect angle, motion and/or trap and determine if there is an emergency situation.
